R&D that delivers business outcomes.

We support mid‑market operators, PE sponsors, and founders by stabilizing R&D, focusing the portfolio, and translating technical decisions into measurable growth, margin expansion, and scalable capability.

Our work includes fractional R&D leadership and targeted consulting during acquisitions, leadership turnover, margin pressure, portfolio overload, and transformation programs.

When to call us

  • You have no explicit R&D organization and it is time to leverage scale and drive differentiation.

  • An acquisition has closed and nobody is accountable for R&D across the combined business.

  • Margin is under pressure and the cost-out line in the plan has no mechanism behind it.

  • The pipeline is over-committed, nothing gets killed, and too little moves reliably.

  • A founder, GM or VP of Operations is running R&D by default, and the portfolio has outgrown that arrangement.

  • The R&D model no longer fits: Roles are unclear, capabilities are uneven, and important decisions repeatedly escalate.

  • Unclear root cause: Leadership knows R&D must improve but does not know where to begin.

Why Transform R&D Partners

  • Operator-led: You don’t need another consultant. You need an operator who has rebuilt R&D organizations, stabilized pipelines, and delivered enterprise‑level results.

  • We bring hands‑on leadership, not slideware: diagnosing root causes, restoring decision cadence, and aligning teams to deliver growth, margin, and clarity

  • Science plus business judgment: Ph.D.-level technical depth combined with portfolio, manufacturing, organization, margin, and capital leadership.

  • Cross-functional by design: R&D is treated as part of an operating system that includes commercial, manufacturing, procurement, finance, quality, food safety, and regulatory teams.

  • Our work is grounded in evidence, not opinion. Every engagement is structured, measurable, and designed to create durable capability inside your organization.

Every situation on this page is one we have personally owned, with accountability for the outcome.

Diagnostic, recommendations, and implementation support shaped by accountability

Start with two weeks, not a contract.

Before committing to a long engagement, begin with a two to four‑week clarity sprint.
Fast, focused, and low‑risk. Largely on site, and fully creditable against whatever follows.

What you receive

  • A written findings report with prioritized observations

  • A proposed decision roadmap

  • A recommendation on immediate stabilization steps

How we work

Consumer back. Plant forward. P&L connected.

The right solution protects the consumer promise, survives the plant, and creates measurable enterprise value

  • Protect what creates value for the customer: Product experience, Brand promise, Performance, Claims and trust.

  • Design for operating conditions: Process capability, Throughput, Packaging, Scale-up, Supply and external manufacturing.

  • Express technical choices in enterprise terms: Growth, Margin, EBITDA, Capacity, Capital, Risk

Text

Four steps methodology

Diagnose → Decide → Deliver → Embed

  • Diagnose the real constraint: Make workload, economics, technical risk, and organizational friction visible.

  • Turn opinions into decisions: Define the minimum evidence needed to resolve disputed assumptions.

  • Deliver with the cross-functional team: Work across R&D, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Regulatory.

  • Embed the capability: Leave decision rights, governance, leadership routines, and measurement behind.

How we help
